Mike F.

Mike F. began reviewing bourbon and whiskey in November 2018 on Reddit’s r/bourbon community under the name prepreludesh. What initially started as a hobby ballooned into a much larger undertaking as his review count grew into triple digits.

Local to the Indianapolis area, he gained the friendship of several local whiskey-heads and began to absorb their collective knowledge as well as sample whiskies he could’ve never obtained on his own.

His passion for reviews came from his early bourbon hunting adventures around town where he kept buying bottles that were substandard or downright awful.

He found that there were plenty of reviews for the more well-known brands, but not for more of the everyday brands that littered the bottom shelves or for recently released bottles. It is with the goal of outright transparency and knowledge sharing that he continues to review as many bottles as possible in order to educate both the enthusiast and the beginner who needs a recommendation on whether or not to buy that bottle in their hand.

Mike welcomes all feedback to his reviews to correct inaccurate information or to add important facts that would help increase everyone’s knowledge.

Mike B.

Mike B. began his whiskey journey after building relationships with the Spirits Managers at his job and has come a long way since first starting to explore the wonderful world of Bourbon.

Prior to diving head first into this industry, Fireball-Fridays at his previous job was the extent of his whiskey knowledge. Thankfully, those days are LONG behind him! He’s no expert by any means, just a guy that has a strong passion for the single-most American drink there is!

He provides more tech-savvy than tasting notes, but loves trying anything Rye and the higher proof the better.  Mike lives in Indianapolis but travels back to Denver frequently.
